Jijamata, (Rajmata Jijau) was born on 12 January in 1598, at Sindhkhedra in Buldhana district. Rajmata Jijau was the Matoshree of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, the founder of the Hinduvi empire.Today this place is not only a historical place but also a tourist destination. Jijau Maa Saheb was born in the Bhuikot palace. The Rajwada, which has an impressive grand entrance, is situated near the Mumbai-Nagpur highway in Sindhkhed Raja. There is also a garden built in the same area of municipality. Here is the place of worship of Lakhujirao Jadhav. In this Mahal, the marriage of ShahajiRaje and Jijau was discussed. Here is the ancient temple of Nilkanteshwar, the inscription inscribed by the King Lakhujirao Jadhav for the revival of the temple. In front of this temple there is a massive bar arranged by stairs to the bottom of the square. The Hemadpanthi Rameshwar Temple is in the 8th to the 10th century. A beautiful example of the formation of the great forts during the tenure of Rajerao Jagadevrao Jadhav was that of Kalkoth. The timeless walls of this superb and strong, are 20 feet wide and the same height. In addition to this, there is a 40-foot-tall walled fort called Sachkarwada, which can be seen on an intersection, there are internal roads, well inside, wells, sub-basement and subway. So the entrance of this object is also very beautiful. Moti lake is a very good way of releasing water for irrigation and a very good example of water irrigation. The front part of this lake is built like a fort, and the area of excavation is beneficial. Besides Chaitanya, the awning lake is also a tourist attraction. A three-storey building has been built in the middle of the pond. This is a statue built in a very streamlined manner.This means that the sculpture made by the use of numerous idols and sculptures together Also, there is a bhajnabai well, in those days, water was supplied through the well drained canals, and there is also a stairway to reach the bottom.

Shegaon and surrounding area has shortage of water and hence Shri Gajanan Maharaj Sansthan, Shegaon felt the need of a lake with ample of water in Shegaon which would help to solve the scarcity of water. With this aim Shree Sansthan created the artificial lake in Shegaon by lifting water from Man River into the lake of Anand Sagar. But the mothly expenditure Rs. 50 Lakh for this purpose caused financial burden on Sansthan. Even then, the Sansthan carried out the project of Anand Sagar Lake, in order to increase the water table in surrouding areas of Shegaon. Not only this, the Shree Sansthan decided to develop this lake and its surrounding area with unique combination of spirituality and Amusement park for devotees with nominal donation. And the revenue from it would help to deal with water problem. With this noble vision and objective Shree Sansthan’s most innovative project- Anand Sagar came into exbtance with Shree’s blessings.

Lonar Crater

Lonar lake is a lake of lagoon in Buldhana district of Maharashtra state. It was created due to a meteorite. It is the only major hoverback in the basalt rock. Its water is alkaline. Lonar Lake has been declared as Wildlife Sanctuary for the conservation and conservation of Lonar lake. There are temples around 1250 years ago. Of these, 15 temples are in reversal. The formation of the lake is believed to have been 52,000 ± 6,000 years ago. But in a research paper published in 2010, the age of the lake is estimated at 570,000 ± 47,000 years.Organizations such as the Smithsonian Institution, United States Geographic Survey in America and the Geological Society of India, Physical Research Laboratory of India have done a lot of research on this lake.

Narnala Fort

Narnala, also known as “Shahnur Fort”, is a hill fortress in Maharashtra, named after the Rajput Ruler Narnala Singh. The name Narnala was given after the Rajput Ruler Narnal Singh or Narnal Swami. The fort was built in 10 A.D. by Gond Kings. In 15th Century Mughals have occupied and rebuild the fort and hence it has been called Shahnoor Fort. Narnala was one of the thirteen sarkar of Berar Subah. Narnala consists of three small forts named Zafarabad fort (or Jafarabad) on the east, Narnala in the centre and Teliagarh on the west. It is a historical place since the Khilji Dynasty, and it was one of the Sarkar Subah Berar in the medieval period. The fort is known for the great Muslim saint Hazrat Burhanuddin “BAGH SAWAR WALI” and it is said that many white tigers were seen with the hazrat at that time. It is also the birthplace of Aurangzeb’s great grand son. Sardar Beg Mirza and Qader Beg Mirza were the hereditary descendant of Mughal Dynasty in the 18th century. Located approximately 9 km from Hiwarkhed near Argaon in Akot Taluka, Akola District, Berar, this area houses a fort once held by Shah Beg Subedar of Berar. It's situated at coordinates 21o 15′ N and 77o 4′ E, within the Melghat Tiger Reserve.

Tipeshwar wild life sanctuary

Tipeshwar wild life sanctuary is situated at Pandarkawada Tahsil, in the district of Yavatmal, Maharashtra. The sanctuary covers an area of around 148.63sq.kms and abounds in vegetation cover. There are various villages located around the sanctuary and thus people depend on the forest for firewood, timber etc. The place is quite hilly and undulated and thus has different types of vegetation cover that varies with the altitude. The place shelters a wide array of animals that include Hyena, Chital, Black buck, Sambar, Jackal, Wild boar, Peacock, Monkey, Blue bull, Wild cat, Bear and many more. Best Season to visit is April-May.

Sahastrakund waterfall is situated on the boundary of Marathwada and Vidarbha region. Bhimkund-Kichakdara

Bhimkund-Kichakdara holds mythological significance that attracts tourists, especially Hindu pilgrims year-round. This is the place, where Bhima killed Kichaka and threw his body into the valley, named Kichakdara. Bhimkund is the place, where Bhima took bath after killing Kichaka. Bhimkund is located 2 km south of the Alladhoh village in Chikhaldara, on the route to Paratwada. It is about 3,500 ft deep and is well-known for the nearby waterfalls and cascades.

Gawaligad Fort

Gawaligad Fort is situated in the Amravati District, close to Chikhaldara. This fort is around 300 years old and was once controlled by Hindu and Mughal rulers. There are many carved sculptures in this fort that were constructed during the period of Nizams. The 10 cannons in this fort are made from copper, brass and iron. There are two lakes present within the fort, namely Khambtaloa and Bamnitaloa. A Gawali King, who was a descendent of Yadavas of Devagiri, built this fort during the 12th century. The three gates of this fort are known as the Delhi Darwaza, Kichakdara Darwaza and Fatheh Darwaza.

Pandit Nehru Botanical Gardens is situated in the upper plateau area of Chikhaldara. This garden is also referred to as the Government Garden or Company Garden. There are some of the rare species of plants and flowers available at this garden. This garden is also famous for the different varieties of rose flowers as well as a toy train with signals and a guard. There is a swimming tank available at this botanical garden, which was provided by the ‘Hanuman Vyam Prasarak Mandal’. Moreover, the area where the Gawali tribe lived in the garden is called as the Pandhari village.
